Tuesday, December 2: AI Image Generator - Do you envision something in your mind’s eye but struggle to bring it to life? There’s an AI tool for that! This lecture will explain how artificial intelligence can turn your words into stunning realistic and imaginative images in seconds. We’ll demonstrate an AI image generator and the wide range of visual and artistic styles it can produce. You’ll also learn tips for getting the most out of this new and exciting technology so you can get started using it too.
Monday, December 8: AI Voice Generator - Have you heard about voice-cloning, digital avatars, or text-to-video? This lecture will explain how artificial intelligence programs can turn scripts and even just ideas/a few sentences into realistic voices and videos in a matter of minutes. We’ll explore AI voice and video generators, their common features, and the wide range of content they can produce. You’ll also learn tips and considerations for using these tools so you can also learn to make them!
Tuesday, January 13: MyChart - This hands-on class introduces participants to MyChart, the secure online patient portal for managing personal health information. Learners will gain confidence navigating the system to access medical records, communicate with healthcare providers, view test results, request prescription refills, manage appointments, and use additional features such as telehealth visits and proxy access.
Tuesday, January 27: YouTube Browser - This beginner-friendly class introduces participants to the YouTube website and its browser interface. Learners will explore how to find videos, subscribe to channels, create playlists, adjust settings, and use YouTube safely and effectively. Through step-by-step demonstrations, participants will gain confidence searching for content, managing their YouTube account, and customizing their viewing experience.
Wednesday, February 4: Introduction to Language Learning Apps - Discover how technology can open the door to new languages and cultures in this engaging introduction to today's most popular language-learning apps. This class explores how tools like Duolingo, Babbel, and Memrise can help learners build vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and practice real-life conversations skills--all through interactive digital experiences.
Tuesday, February 24: Introduction to Translation Tools - This beginner-friendly class introduces participants to today's most widely used digital translation tools and how they can assist with understanding and communicating across languages. Through hands-on demonstrations and guided practice, learners will explore tools such as Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, and built-in browser translation features.
Tuesday, March 10: Smartphone Camera Uses Beyond Photography - Your smartphone can do far more than take pictures! This class introduces participants to many practical, everyday uses of smartphone cameras that make life easier, more organized, and more connected. Through demonstrations and hands-on activities, learners will explore how the camera can function as a scanner, translator, measuring tool, identifier, and even a tool for accessibility.

This introductory class provides a clear, easy-to-understand overview of today's most popular wearable technologies and what they can do. Participants will explore how wearables track activity, monitor health, connect with smartphones, and support wellness goals.
